Design¶
- Mechanical
- Double Arm Structure
- Forearm (solenoid actuated) and wrist (servo actuated)
- Forearm retract cannot contact drum (adds velocity only)
- Drum hit is accomplished by servo positioning
- Must ensure that solenoid duty cycle (10%, max 60sec per activation) is not exceeded
- Heavy base with mounted circuits
- brass tubing creates raised structure, held together by stay cables
- Large solenoids mounted on base, connected to thin rods
- drumsticks held dynamically in pvc foam holder
- pvc foam holders pivot on brass structure, connected to the thin rods
- Electrical
- 2 signal pins in, 5V in, 12V in, Ground in.
- 2 outputs, which are 12V corresponding to the signal pins.
