Redmine Task #1907 (Assigned): Check speaker magnet interference with IMU/Compasshttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/19072011-11-07T21:48:08ZDan Shopedshope@andrew.cmu.edu

Will placing a small speaker near the compass (less than 1" away) cause interference due to the magnetic fields?

If so, how can we mitigate this? - Calculations, numerical values of separation, etc.
Task #1895 (New): Control Headlightshttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/18952011-10-29T21:52:26ZPriyanka Deo

Write functions to control the headlights (turn on, off, set color) from the ARM.
Task #1879 (Assigned): Buttons on ARMhttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/18792011-10-26T20:46:26ZPriyanka Deo

Read button values. Publish to topic.
Task #1875 (Assigned): CliffSensor on ARMhttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/18752011-10-26T19:12:33ZPriyanka Deo

Read cliffsensor values on ARM. Publish to topic.
Task #1867 (Assigned): Charging Basehttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/18672011-10-23T08:01:57ZPriyanka Deo

Design and Create charging base so we can charge scout
Task #1864 (Assigned): "Automated" Turninghttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/18642011-10-23T07:01:24ZPriyanka Deo

Using feedback from gyroscope and encoders in order to track position change, estimate PWM setpoints to make user requested turn.
Task #1862 (Assigned): Control Motors (ARM)https://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/18622011-10-23T06:57:34ZPriyanka Deo

Set PWM outputs on appropriate pins. Control motors using ARM
Task #1855 (Assigned): Automate Stepping and Sonar Readinghttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/18552011-10-23T06:50:43ZPriyanka Deo

Call stepper moving and sonar triggering function so that Sonar steps then reads then steps again. Does not blur readings by stepping to early.
Task #1850 (Assigned): BOM Driver Codehttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/18502011-10-23T06:39:37ZPriyanka Deo

functions for encoding and decoding using modified Sharp protocol @ 38Hz modulation. Requires decision regarding scheduling, RTOS on AVR. Test what robot/sensor is communicating based on transmitted data.
Task #1847 (Assigned): BOM Interference Testinghttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/18472011-10-23T06:36:10ZPriyanka Deo

Construct a test unit w/ 2 transmitters firing at a single receiver (all can be on same processor). can trigger LEDs corresponding to left or right transmitter
Task #1830 (Assigned): Create ROS Node: Analoghttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/18302011-10-13T22:18:17ZBen Wassermanbwasserm@andrew.cmu.edu

Create the ROS node for the analog. The git repo can be found: git clone ssh://roboclub.org/home/svn/scoutos. The node diagram can be found at https://www.roboticsclub.org/redmine/attachments/522/rosNodes2.pdf.
Task #1822 (Assigned): Create ROS Node: Accessoryhttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/18222011-10-13T22:02:05ZBen Wassermanbwasserm@andrew.cmu.edu

Create the ROS node for the accessory. The git repo can be found: git clone ssh://roboclub.org/home/svn/scoutos. The node diagram can be found at https://www.roboticsclub.org/redmine/attachments/522/rosNodes2.pdf.

Because we're going to be making a forklift as the first accessory, it might be a good idea to make this a forklift node instead of a generic accessory node.
Task #1494 (Assigned): Assembly Instructionshttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/14942010-10-11T04:27:19ZDan Shopedshope@andrew.cmu.edu

Update AssemblyInstructions with pictures for each step
Task #1478 (Assigned): BOM Send/Receive Functionshttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/14782010-10-05T03:35:41ZDan Shopedshope@andrew.cmu.edu

develop a function for parsing input using the Sharp 38khz protocol

code is running on the ATMega128RFA1. Consult the scoutfly schematic for more details

Design colony environment storage cabinet for under main shop table. Shop master has approved usage of the under-table area.

The other area considered for storage is beside Shelfimus Prime -- this would require relocation of the wire storage (on the side of the cabinet) and hexabot (unknown).
