Redmine Task #1920 (Assigned): Get Old Boards and Funding Infohttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/19202011-11-13T04:46:19ZPriyanka Deo

Talk to Brian Kirby and ask him for the 10 or so new & populated colony III boards he has, so we can swap them with the old ones.

And how/where he got funding to make the colony III fleet.
Task #1919 (Assigned): Power Up Rest of Scoutflyhttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/19192011-11-13T04:44:41ZPriyanka Deo

Power Up/ Test Rest of scoutfly, while waiting for power boards to come back.
From KWoo's email:

You can probably power everything up. You will have to jury rig a reset line to the AVR but otherwise you should be able to test out the boards. You need to bypass the power path chip and always assert the enable line on the regulator. Other than that you will get out 5V and 3.3V. That should allow you to power everything else on the board, assuming that it works (I [KWoo] didn't test that part).
Task #1907 (Assigned): Check speaker magnet interference with IMU/Compasshttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/19072011-11-07T21:48:08ZDan Shopedshope@andrew.cmu.edu

Will placing a small speaker near the compass (less than 1" away) cause interference due to the magnetic fields?

If so, how can we mitigate this? - Calculations, numerical values of separation, etc.
Task #1871 (Assigned): Make wiring kits for Scouthttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/18712011-10-23T08:06:38ZPriyanka Deo

Make connectors and wiring stuff for Scout. See attached pdf when ready.
Task #1869 (Assigned): Print and Test Scoutflyhttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/18692011-10-23T08:03:13ZPriyanka Deo

Once Scoutfly is finished being designed, print the boards and test them to make sure they work.
Task #1861 (Assigned): Motor & Encoder Wiringhttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/18612011-10-23T06:56:10ZPriyanka Deo

1. Wire motors to Scoutfly outputs or motor driver breakout boards

2. Wire encoders to ARM inputs
Task #1852 (Assigned): Get Sonar Stepping and Readinghttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/18522011-10-23T06:48:08ZPriyanka Deo

Command stepper driver to step and set direction bits. Trigger sonar by setting output pin to high (momentarily). Delay stepper movement to allow sonar reading (<49ms)
Task #1851 (Assigned): Sonar Wiringhttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/18512011-10-23T06:46:44ZPriyanka Deo

1. wire stepper to stepper driver outputs, sonar to trigger pin

2. wire homing switch to input pin

3. wire sonar to AVR input
Task #1847 (Assigned): BOM Interference Testinghttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/18472011-10-23T06:36:10ZPriyanka Deo

Construct a test unit w/ 2 transmitters firing at a single receiver (all can be on same processor). can trigger LEDs corresponding to left or right transmitter
Task #1792 (Assigned): Electronics Purchasing, OCT-08https://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/17922011-10-07T08:52:08ZDan Shopedshope@andrew.cmu.edu

Quantities are set to permit buildup of at least 10 robots. I'm ordering parts that would be show-stoppers if they are discontinued.
Task #1727 (Assigned): Update Boards on Eaglehttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/17272011-05-03T23:06:35ZPriyanka Deo

Make changes on Eagle that have been made to the boards.
Task #1494 (Assigned): Assembly Instructionshttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/14942010-10-11T04:27:19ZDan Shopedshope@andrew.cmu.edu

Find way to accurately measure oven temperature (IR and Dial does not work, underestimates)

Get standalone temperature probe or something that can plug into existing roboclub equipment.
Task #816 (Assigned): Software Architecturehttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/8162009-10-23T02:12:49ZDan Shopedshope@andrew.cmu.edu

Design colony environment storage cabinet for under main shop table. Shop master has approved usage of the under-table area.

The other area considered for storage is beside Shelfimus Prime -- this would require relocation of the wire storage (on the side of the cabinet) and hexabot (unknown).
