Subgroup Updates¶
Software Team - Priya¶
Accomplished:- Worked with Tom to get software more compatible with hardware
- Fixed ROS namespace issue by making the scoutname parameter in libscout optional
- Fix motors not turning off when exiting behaviors
- Complete smart runaround
- Continue working on auto-generated behaviors
Mechanical Team - Peyton¶
Accomplished- Finalized design, and fixed issue with the pump always needing water
- Make a tank model
Board Team - Julian¶
Accomplished:- Progress on paint board
- Fixed power issues
- Scout board now starts off, and button turns it on
- Gumstix now turns off the board power after shutting down
- Sent out new rev. of battery charger board
- Rewired some of scout1
- Finally talk to Physics department
- Send out paint board
Low Level Software Team - Tom¶
Accomplished:- Even more things now launch on boot
- Behaviors work, though there are still some changes to make
- A slightly better understanding of wireless? Also, Matt's in touch with someone who knows about the Atmega128rfa1
- Our chip may be compatible with XBee, but mesh networking will require more work with XBee than just the AVR
- Should we abandon XBee?
- Unfortunately cliff sensors won't be attached yet. Complain at Julian.
- How do we wireless?
- Forge partnership with people who know what's going on
- Hopefully we can test at some point in the future
- Stepper homing
