Redmine Quadrotor - Enhancement #1604 (Assigned): Fix the Quadrotorhttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/16042010-11-20T22:31:30ZMike Ornsteinmornstei@andrew.cmu.edu

The carbon spars are quite dead. Make them less so.
Some of the motors are also quite dead. Replace the dead'ons.
The props are a funny color and some are missing bits and pieces; replace.
Colony - Task #1568 (Assigned): Clean up Colony-New and prepare for next yearhttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/15682010-11-08T22:36:22ZJohn Sextonjsexton@alumni.cmu.edu

Need to figure out what we want to do with colony-new repository.

We will need to clean it out for next year, but if there are substantial library changes between now and then (maybe the next version of the Intro labs will incorporate line-following???) then there is a valid argument to wait and do this at the beginning of next year.

In which case, we can either wipe everything, keep everything but the lab implementations, or don't touch anything.
Colony - Task #1458 (Assigned): Redo robot pantshttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/14582010-10-01T21:40:56ZAlex Zirbelazirbel@andrew.cmu.edu

A better clip/slide-in for the battery would make things faster. Look into clip-on covers or something to replace the screws.
Colony - Task #1453 (Assigned): Line Follower Collimatorhttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/14532010-09-30T23:29:06ZJohn Sextonjsexton@alumni.cmu.edu

Design a collimator and attachment scheme for securing the line following censor to the bottom of the robots.
Colony Scout - Task #1117 (Assigned): Reflow Oven Temperature Regulationhttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/11172010-02-22T01:46:24ZDan Shopedshope@andrew.cmu.edu

Find way to accurately measure oven temperature (IR and Dial does not work, underestimates)

Get standalone temperature probe or something that can plug into existing roboclub equipment.
Colony - Bug #960 (Assigned): xbee idhttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/9602009-12-05T07:05:22ZDavid Schultzdsschult@andrew.cmu.edu

The xbee id should be set to the robot id (which is in the eeprom) on init.

The xbee currently just uses the last stored address in xbee memory, which works most of the time but is not failsafe.
Colony - Task #950 (Assigned): Wireless - xbee.chttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/9502009-11-27T17:54:25ZDavid Schultzdsschult@andrew.cmu.edu

integrate serial.c xbee functions into xbee.c, clean up file
Colony - Task #946 (Assigned): Wireless - core send, ack functionshttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/9462009-11-27T17:46:40ZDavid Schultzdsschult@andrew.cmu.eduColony - Enhancement #925 (Assigned): xbee baud rateshttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/9252009-11-13T19:55:07ZDavid Schultzdsschult@andrew.cmu.edu

Currently, only default of 9600 baud works. Get other rates, specifically 115200, to work.
Colony - Bug #852 (Assigned): Xbee Documentationhttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/8522009-10-30T19:41:35ZDan Shopedshope@andrew.cmu.edu

Make a page on wiki w/ Xbee setup/config commands

Link to PDF
Colony - Bug #693 (Assigned): Better sanity check for invalid BOM typehttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/6932009-10-02T21:56:45ZKevin Woo

assert would be nice
Colony - Enhancement #577 (Assigned): Improve library error codeshttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/5772009-09-11T01:22:12ZBrad Neuman

Each library function should check a global value to see if the library is properly init'd, if not it should return an error code
Colony - Bug #575 (Assigned): Battery Level Indicatorhttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/5752009-09-11T00:20:55ZAustin Buchanabuchan@andrew.cmu.edu

Make an battery level indicator behavior using the orbs
Colony Scout - Task #523 (Assigned): Colony Environmenthttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/5232009-08-05T20:11:41ZDan Shopedshope@andrew.cmu.edu

Design colony environment storage cabinet for under main shop table. Shop master has approved usage of the under-table area.

The other area considered for storage is beside Shelfimus Prime -- this would require relocation of the wire storage (on the side of the cabinet) and hexabot (unknown).
Colony - Task #368 (Assigned): Make sure all robots program the correct xbee id from eepromhttps://roboticsclub.org/redmine/issues/3682009-03-20T21:07:48ZKevin Woo

EEPROMs are all programmed and code to read it is fine. We just need to make sure the wireless code does it.
