            • 2 magnets were not diametric (poles in wrong places)
            • alignment issues
            • shorts on encoder boards from poor soldering job

        • 3D print - dimensions are a little small, doesn't allow enough for the tolerances of the machine.
        • looking into other means of manufacturing, the quantity is a bit high for CNC runs, also fixturing for the part is complicated.
        • plastic molding looks promising
