Description

Now that most of the content on roboticsclub.com/RobOrchestra is there, I think it's time to change where the domain points. The roborchestra section of danshope.com is outdated, and recent activity is pointing to roborchestra.com. We need to get people to where they want to go.

I talked with robbie, and we can transfer the domain to be owned by the robotics club. The roborch budget will start paying roboclub to renew the domain. Robbie will take care of getting roborchestra.com to point to the right stuff if roboclub owns it.

i'm putting it on high priority since a lot of recent stuff points to roborchestra.com. I would like it transfered by wednesday's meeting please.

Steps for dan shope to take:

know what email address you have listed as the "administrative contact" for the domain

send an email (from your administrative contact address) to with the following info :
1) the domain name: roborchestra.com
2) the last 4 digits of the credit card you have on file with ipower
3) a statement saying that you want to UNLOCK the domain

This will "unlock" the domain so that robbie can request a transfer

Once the request goes through, they will send an email to the administrative contact to confirm the transfer.

Can you get that email sent by the end of the night so i can get robbie to do the transfer at 9AM in our class tomorrow?

  • Priority changed from High to Normal
  • % Done changed from 0 to 30

as I informed andrew burks -

this is not a 5 minute process. We have to call during business hours, or wait for a few days until an EPP authorization code is emailed to me. After that the transfer to Dotster will start taking place.

Wed & Thursday are booked for me, so this will take a backseat.
